The payments fintech Navro announced it has secured a Money Transmitter Licence (MTL) from the Texas Department of Banking, extending its regulated presence into one of the US’s largest state economies, FinTech Global reports.
The authorisation allows Navro to handle payments and facilitate remittances across Texas, giving corporate clients a compliant route into the state. This includes businesses with complex international payroll and fund disbursement requirements.
With the Texas licence, the London-based company has reportedly added to its existing state-level authorisations, including those in Delaware, Washington DC and Florida, as it continues to expand its North American operations.
According to Navro, its platform addresses the cost and slow settlement times companies can face when moving money into and out of the US through SWIFT. It connects businesses to a curated network of payment providers through a single platform, API and contract, selecting payment and banking infrastructure for each transaction.
In addition, Navro says it has expanded its presence in specialist verticals such as payroll and pensions during 2026.
The company provides multinational corporations with a single API to route payments across international banking and payment networks, while managing regulatory requirements across jurisdictions. Its services support payroll and pension providers, along with Employer of Record platforms.
Aran Brown - Navro’s CEO - said, “Securing our Texas licence is another important milestone in Navro’s US growth strategy. Texas is one of the largest economies in the country and a centre of commerce for fintech and digital assets organisations, so this gives our clients a compliant route into a market that matters enormously to their growth plans. With this licence, we can extend the benefits of Navro’s payments curation platform, simplicity, speed and lower costs, to more businesses managing complex cross-border requirements.”
