[Ukraine] Projected minimum wage growth

The minimum wage in Ukraine will remain unchanged from August 1, 2026. The rate will remain at 8,647 hryvnias per month, as provided by the Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2026", SUD.UA reports.

The national minimum hourly wage will also remain unchanged at 52 hryvnias.

The last increase in Ukraine’s minimum wage came into effect on January 1, 2026, when the rate rose from 8,000 to 8,647 hryvnias.

While the wage has not changed, the government has reportedly outlined provisional plans for further increases in the minimum wage, starting in 2027. 

In the medium-term Budget Declaration, the Cabinet of Ministers detailed a phased increase of this indicator in the coming years.

The Budget Declaration lays out projected growth as follows:

• Rising to 9,546 hryvnias in 2027

• Rising to 10,377 hryvnias in 2028 (around an 8.7 per cent increase);

• Rising to 11,114 hryvnias in 2029 (around a 7.1 per cent increase).

The Cabinet noted that these figures are a forecast. They are included within the Budget Declaration, which defines the main directions of the state’s budgetary and financial policy for a three-year period. 

In addition, the document contains forecasts of macroeconomic indicators, including expected economic growth, inflation rate, exchange rate, and budget expenditure limits. 

On this basis, the government annually develops the draft law on the State Budget.
