With an annual first-team squad wage bill of £155.5 million, the club is one of the league’s highest payers.
The annual salary for the payroll admin role is reportedly much more modest, with just £19,000-£40,000, depending on experience, on offer.
Chelsea’s highest earner is captain Reece James, who pockets £250,000 a week, followed by defender Wesley Fofana on a weekly wage of £200,000.
Enzo Fernandez makes £180,000 a week, while Chelsea’s new £ 117 million signing Morgan Rogers earns £150,000.
The successful applicant will be based at Stamford Bridge stadium in West London in a full-time role.
The job’s main responsibilities are stated as: “Processing of end-to-end payroll for 1,800+ for all monthly UK permanent and casual payrolls.
“Ensuring a high standard of accuracy is maintained, and all statutory legislation is adhered to.
“Processing of Maternity, Sickness, Shared Parental Leave, Paternity Leave and other absences in line with Company Policy and statutory regulations.
“Produce and reconcile all reports as required to enable the authorisation of BACS files.
“Preparation of payslips & P45’s.”
The job description reportedly doesn’t list any specific qualifications, but it does ask that applicants have “excellent organisational skills and attention to detail” and be good at “manual calculations.
