PNC Bank has announced a partnership with ADP to integrate payroll and workforce management services into its digital banking platform, bringing small business customers access to banking and employment tools through a single interface, FinTech Global reports.

PNC Bank is part of Pittsburgh, US-based The PNC Financial Services Group, which provides consumer and business banking, lending, corporate banking, real estate finance, asset-based lending, and wealth and asset management services.

PNC Payroll by ADP will reportedly enable businesses to manage employee payments, HR, time tracking, insurance, benefits and retirement services alongside their existing cash management and payment activities.

According to the companies, uniting these functions is intended to reduce the need for business owners to navigate multiple platforms when managing finances and employees. In addition, the integrated service is designed to help small firms oversee cash flow, handle payroll obligations and manage compliance requirements more efficiently.

The solution is designed for a wide range of small businesses, from sole traders and early-stage startups to established companies looking to scale their operations. The partnership will expand ADP’s embedded payroll strategy, which integrates its workforce technology into pre-existing platforms.

Matt Farwell - president of Small Business Services at ADP - said, “Small businesses want technology that works together seamlessly. This collaboration brings together two of the systems small businesses rely on most: banking and payroll. With decades of combined expertise supporting businesses through critical financial and payroll decisions, ADP and PNC are uniquely positioned to provide a trusted, centralised platform that can ultimately help business owners spend less time navigating disconnected systems and more time focusing on growth.”

Dave Shorten - head of SMB Treasury Management at PNC Bank - said, “Our clients rely on us for the tools and support they need to build and grow their businesses. This collaboration combines ADP’s small business expertise and scalable solutions with PNC’s relationship-driven approach to banking, creating a powerful solution that supports small businesses at every stage of growth.”
