The Federal Court of Australia Listed Entity announced that it has found and remedied a payroll configuration issue which impacted certain casual employees who recorded under four hours on their timesheets, Australasian Lawyer reports.

In those cases, the casual employees did not receive the four-hour minimum engagement entitlement, as mandated under the pertinent enterprise agreements, the Federal Court’s media statement said.

According to the listed entity, the issue impacted 152 of its past employees and 96 of its present employees after August 2018.

The listed entity reportedly estimated the average gross underpayment for each employee at $219, excluding interest. It approximated total remediation payments at $77,000, including superannuation and interest.

The Federal Court’s media statement said, “The listed entity regrets these payments were not made in accordance with the relevant enterprise agreements.”
