[Americas and Australia] Sage announces acquisition of Paperless Environments

The accounting, finance and payroll tech firm Sage has announced its acquisition of Paperless Environments, a provider of accounts payable automation services for the construction industry, Construction Dive reports.

Paperless serves more than 1,400 customers across the US, Canada and Australia, according to the deal announcement. 

Sage customers already reportedly have access to paperless technology via the Sage Paperless Construction platform.

Sage stated that it will use the acquisition to bolster the services it offers to the construction industry amid increasing demand for tech.

A recent survey from the Associated General Contractors of America revealed that 61 per cent of US construction firms currently use AI.

The deal’s terms have yet to be disclosed.
