In the UK, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) has achieved menopause-friendly employer accreditation for its support of employees affected by menopause, Employee Benefits reports.
The accreditation was established by Henpicked: Menopause In the Workplace to recognise high standards and workplace practices that embrace the condition.
Employers are reportedly assessed and must demonstrate evidence of their support in the areas of culture, policies and practices, training, engagement, facilities and evaluation.
According to Employee Benefits, the support NDA has introduced includes establishing the Menohub support group, training menopause champions and making the Peppy digital health app available to employees and their partners, to reach women across the entire organisation in ways best suited to them.
NDA reportedly intends to combine daily good practice led by its menopause champions with 24-7 access to guidance and advice on the Menohub to maintain high standards of menopause awareness while also working to foster an inclusive culture.
