As the cost of living crisis deepens, many Irish households are growing increasingly concerned about its impact on their financial future. Price increases on everything from food to fuel have led workers to look more closely at their pay packets and consider whether they should be earning more. Now a new tool will let workers do just that, Irish Mirror reports.

The Morgan McKinley 2022 Salary Guide Calculator compares salaries across different locations, industries and areas of expertise.

The tool is available here. Users can establish exactly how much they could be earning in their careers.

By selecting the most relevant options to them and switching between experience levels users can see how much a more or less experienced worker in their same field earns.

Data from the tool has already revealed some of the highest-paying jobs in Ireland.

Trayc Keevans from Morgan McKinley said, “We’re currently seeing the most demanding employment markets of our time. The Great Resignation of the past year appears to be still in full swing.

"The experience of the sustained public health emergency has prompted countless workers to re-evaluate their work options, fine-tuning a better work-life balance and making deliberate choices as to where their careers are heading next."

According to the data, the highest-paid job in Ireland is a Chief Financial Officer with the average salary in Ireland currently €130,000 to €350,000.
