In Croatia, Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic has announced plans to increase the monthly minimum wage to €970 ($1,056) - a hike of €130 - from January 1, 2025, SeeNews reports.
The country’s average net wage should reach €1,600 euro by the end of the mandate, Mr Plenkovic told parliament on October 15, according to a government press release.
Mr Plenkovic reportedly began his third four-year mandate as Croatia's prime minister in May. He has been the nation’s premier since October 2016.
Croatia's average net monthly salary was €1,315 euro in July, up 12.7 per cent on the year in real terms, the latest data by the country's statistical office revealed.
