In the US, tech workers at Google are lending their voices to support workers impacted by changes to H-1B visa rules, WNY Labor Today reports.

Union Leadership and Members of the Alphabet Workers Union-Communications Workers of America (AWU-CWA) Local 9009 gathered outside the New York City Google Offices earlier this month to speak out against the Trump administration’s recent H-1B proclamation.

Those assembled called on Google to use its considerable power and platform to stand up for its workforce.

Google tech workers are reportedly rejecting this attempt to divide their workforce and have stated that they will continue to organise under the banner of Googlers For Job Security to help ensure a Google that works for everyone.
