In Canada, a provincial minimum wage rise has been announced. The provincial government has confirmed that New Brunswick’s minimum wage will increase to $15.90 per hour on April 1, HR Reporter reports.

The change falls under the Employment Standards Act and represents an increase of 25 cents from the current rate of $15.65 per hour, according to the Department of Post‑Secondary Education, Training and Labour.

The increase applies to workers paid by salary, commission or piece work, who must receive at least minimum wage for every hour worked, the provincial government said.

New Brunswick’s minimum wage is indexed to its consumer price index (CPI), rounded to the nearest five cents. The CPI reportedly grew by 1.7 per cent in 2025.
