Announcing the national budget on September 25, Minister of Finance Bwalya Ng’andu said he proposed an increase of the exempt threshold for PAYE to increase disposable income. The proposed increment will come into effect on January 1, 2021. Workers receiving a monthly salary of K4,000 and below will benefit from the tax relief.
