Ghana’s Ministry of the Interior has declared April 18, 2025, and April 21, 2025, as statutory public holidays, GBC Ghana Online reports.
In an April 14 statement, Interior Minister Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak confirmed that Good Friday and Easter Monday will be observed nationwide.
Many Christians observe Good Friday as a day of mourning and reflection. Easter Monday, the day following Easter Sunday, is traditionally associated with family gatherings and outdoor events.
The Ministry reportedly urged the public to observe the holidays in accordance with Ghana’s laws and customs.
