[Egypt] HR tech startup bluworks raises $1m to accelerate growth
29 Nov 2025

bluworks - a Cairo-based HR tech startup specialising in workforce management solutions - announced that it has closed a US$1 million seed funding round to accelerate growth across Egypt and expand regionally, Disrupt Africa reports.

Hussein Wahdan and Farah Osman launched bluworks in 2022. The company addresses blue-collar workforce management challenges through employee scheduling, attendance tracking, payroll processing, real-time salary disbursement, and compliance management, all tailored to Egyptian regulatory requirements.

In April 2024, bluworks reportedly raised a $1 million pre-seed investment round. It has now raised a further $1 million in seed capital in a round led by A15, Enza Capital, and Beltone Venture Capital, together with Acasia Ventures and strategic angel investors.

The startup says this funding will support three strategic objectives: deepening Egyptian market penetration by expanding the SME client base and platform capabilities, forging strategic partnerships for additional services, and geographic expansion across MENA markets.

“This investment marks a pivotal step for bluworks,” Hussein Wahdan - bluwork’s CEO - said. “We’ve proven the strength of our model in Egypt, and now we’re ready to scale faster – both by deepening our presence locally and by exploring regional opportunities. Our mission remains unchanged: to give companies the tools to manage their workforce more efficiently while creating better outcomes for employees.”
