In the UK, new research has revealed that almost one-third of employees have received incorrect pay documents on more than three occasions, LDN reports.

The UK Payslip Anxiety Report - published by Access People HR - found that more than 31 per cent of employees have experienced errors in their payslip at least three times. Some reported experiencing pay irregularities more than 10 times.

The data showed that one quarter (25 per cent) of employees have experienced payslip errors between three and five times, while 5 per cent reported irregularities in their pay between six and 10 times.

Two per cent of respondents reportedly stated that they have dealt with more than 10 payslip errors throughout their employment.

ADP’s People at Work report recently found that almost half (49 per cent) of the UK workforce is living from paycheque to paycheque, and receiving incorrect pay information could have a significant impact on worker wellbeing.

Incorrect pay does more than cause employees to struggle financially. It can lead to unhappiness, disengagement, and even accelerate staff turnover when employees act to protect their economic wellbeing.
