In the UK, Greene King - the pub organisation and brewer - has introduced a new cloud-based HR and payroll platform intended to streamline processes, enable faster decision-making and enhance employee experience, Employee Benefits reports.

Greene King partnered with Workday for its platform, designed to provide a user-friendly experience for staff members, allowing them easy access to their information and digitalising processes such as booking time off and viewing payslips.

In addition, the platform will reportedly help to streamline processes for line managers in Greene King pubs and offices, making reports and analytics an easier read, enabling them to make faster decisions and spend less time on admin and more on delivering a better experience.

The organisation says the move will ensure it is fit for the future, able to adapt quickly to upcoming employment law changes and to provide a consistent onboarding process for new joiners.

Greene King will reportedly invest £10 million into the platform over the next five years. It will be rolled out to its 40,000 employees throughout April and May.

Andrew Bush - chief experience officer at Greene King - said, “We want Greene King to continue to be a great place to work and our £10 million investment in the Workday system will make navigating some of our HR systems much easier for our teams, helping them to be more efficient so they can help to deliver a brilliant experience for our customers.

“It is a strategic investment that will help us continue to build more people-focused services for our teams. This has been a project that has taken two years of partnership and collaboration with Workday to deliver a platform that fulfils the needs of the business and most importantly, works for our people.”
